H&M Unveiled “Modern-Day-Market” Called Arket for Faster Fashion

For fashion followers, there are hundred reasons to adore H&M—whether it’s about their designs, eco-conscious collections, or affordable price point—the renowned platform, H&M, stays keen to serve its customers with best of best fashion and trends.  And every time, each one of us gets super-excited, when the retail giant announces their H&M Mid-Season sale or a new offshoot because we all know that it’s going to be a real-fashion-forward thing in town.

This time, H&M has come up with some unique and exceptional idea. Not just the name is attractive but the shopping experience will be exciting too. The name of their new retail brand is: Arket. This new venture will have its first store whose doors will be open for the customers in early Fall 2017 at London’s Regent Street. And when it comes to the name of this new project by H&M, we have interestingly noticed something related to the name and that is: can we even say a word market without using “Arket”? No, we can’t!! And this is the thought that hit our mind at first after knowing the name of this new baby of H&M. Undoubtedly, it’s the coolest name a retailer can have, which directly or indirectly means that without this retailer Market is incomplete!

"The brand DNA is timeless, crisp, quality, and warmth," Ulrika Bernhardtz, Arket’s creative director, tells BoF. "Timeless is style beyond trend. And crisp is the counterpart to that: to be always relevant, modern and fresh. Quality is not only the feel of garments; it's also how they are produced. Warmth is about being genuine and personal." He further added that “We really believe it's relevant to a modern customer to bring different brands together—under one roof, under one channel—and to make that choice for them and also make it more convenient.”

Arket will be equipped with their own product line and other branded products as well, but there will be no H&M products. The price of products might be bit higher than those of regular H&M products that are not so heavy on pocket. This new venture already joined H&M’s existing brand portfolio, which has other stories, such as COS, Weekday, Cheap Monday, and Monki.

All Arket stores will give customers a better and positive experience of shopping, as they are planning to have cafes within the store and will be serving healthy Nordic Cuisine. We hope that the company’s newest baby will have lots and lots of ravishing business and customers will be happier to get a new place to shop the trendiest styles with most amazing price tag!
